Thursday Thirteen - Ramblings

1. I had the mother of all migraines yesterday. Saw the spots, stood up to get some water and BAM - Freight Train! Drove home (while covering one eye and squinting with the other), threw up for a little bit, got comfy on the couch and did what anyone would do in this situation - slept off and on for 4 hours. Got up, headache gone but now I still have the migraine hangover.

2. I rarely eat tuna fish. But thanks to Was It For This, all I craved yesterday was tuna. (I still want to make the recipe she recommended).

3. I ran both Monday and Tuesday night and planned on running Wednesday until that Freight Train hit me. Still, much better record then last week!

4. Something is still wrong with my hamstring. I’m going to see how I feel after an 18 mile run this Sat. If it’s still F-ed up, I may blow off Marine Corp, give it more time to heal, and start training for a March marathon in Nov.

5. Part of the reason I’m OK with number 3 is training is the least of my desires right now.

6. I’m doing my 18 miles down in DC so I can go back to the Eastern Market after my run. Yes, I’m addicted!

7. I LOVE Fall (and I know, it’s not quite fall yet)! The mornings and evenings are crisp – perfect running weather. But most importantly, Pumpkin Spiced Latte is back. I was so excited until someone mentioned Gingerbread Latte – now I can’t wait till winter!

8. Peanut Butter is now safe in my presence. During training, I’d go through about one 18oz jar a week. The last one I bought barely has a spoonful taken out.

9. I swear I was switched at birth. I'd do a DNA test, but what if I'm wrong?! (Don't get me wrong, I LOVE my family - but how can I be SOOOO different then them?)

10. Summer is quickly getting away. Only a few weeks left of BLTCA's. (Bacon, Lettuce, Tomato, Cheese, and Avocados) Speaking of which, I now know what I'm having for dinner tonight.

11. I "gained" 2 pounds over the weekend, but I'm back to what I was last Thursday. Still have quite a few till I'm down to my goal: 140.6 (get it?).

12. Last weekend Dude and I went to the National Botanical Garden. If you haven't been, go - it is beautiful! Plus, even though it is right on the mall, it's not one of those places most tourists go.

13. Coming up with 13 things is harder then you'd imagine!
